I had 100' of 3/8" synthetic Blue Diamond line put on my winch last week. I "helped" in the process of wrapping line on my winch by operating the controller. This was accomplished by using tree strap on telephone pole winching my rover up the street (it was fun ) There is a protective movable "sleeve" over the line that was kept near the hook. As this part of line was going into the winch, the line had to be let out several times until the sleeve would wrap up "with" the line. I was not comfortable with how close my friends hands were to the fairlead while feeding it in. I sure don't want to put my hands that close when I operate it myself -- is there a trick to getting it in there easily?? Thanks, Jamie (btw, I solved one of my winch and bumper problems (with where my hook was orinally resting) by switching to a (coated) mouse-clip style hook and hooking it into one of the channels of my bumper) |
