Just wondering if anyone is using off the shelf pre mixed 50/50 coolant? Any pros or cons?

It certainly should be, but I doubt it. Haven't really looked at any prices.

I was just thinking it would be a lot less trouble than mixing. But, if it's the same price, or even more, what a joke.

It is alot less trouble than mixing, got it at walmart, don't know what the difference in cost was, but I don't think it was much. Maybe I am just lazy, but it is just one less thing to do. Not really any pros and cons, but probably less user error in mixing than if you mix your own. Its been in my 92 RR for about six months and is working great.

I use to always question the cheaper anti-freeze versus Prestone or another name brand. But really how many plants could there be that process anti-freeze? In the end I put Super Tech in my everyday cars and Prestone in the Rover.

I've been thinking of trying the stuff, I have a well with a high iron content, and filtering water can be a pain. Don't think I'd bother if the tap water didn't need work, though.

If you mix it yourself, always use distilled water, not the spring water stuff, get them in gallon jugs at the grocery store.
