From what I have seen in the used car market these Freelanders have lousy resale value, worse than the already bad Land Rover line. Its starting to look like an attractive buy. Lets here from you Freelander owners ! Thanks in advance !

I have had mine a year now and put over 33K miles on it. So far it has been great. In 1 year the only problem has been a known issue with the shifter that was replaced.

Thanks. Just wondering if you have purchased the extended warranty from Land Rover. If so how much. According to Land Rover each dealer sets their own price.

Thanks. I just about stumbled on a Freelander. I have been in the market for a RR or Disco(used) and are starting to find amazing deals on the Freelander. Let me know what you find out. Many thanks !

I would be carefull if buying a used one in Phoenix AZ. I was talking to someone who works at a dealership here and they used to have Freelanders for loaners. The customers beat the crap out of them and nearly totalled a few. I would check the repair history.

Here is the price to get the extended warranty if you did not get one at the time of purchase.
$1995 and it must be purchased before the last 30 days or 1K miles of the original warranty ending.
