Hello All, I was hoping to change the light bulb which backlights the dash clock in my '97 DI. It really is quite annoying not being able to see it at night. I think I can find my way through the actual job, but I'm curious about the bulb itself. Is this a "funky" bulb which must be ordered through LR, or am I going to find it at Canadian Tire or NAPA? If so, anybody remember the bulb #? I be grateful to anyone who could tell me before yanking the unit out of the dash. My experience with this type of unit is the less you pull it out of the connectors, the better the fit overall. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. |

I used a putty knife and put it above and below the clock. Be patient and workd the clock unit out. Once the clock is out you can twist off the bulb and holder. I cheaped out and bought a 2 pack replacemnt bulb only for $0.79 and soldered in a new bulb into the old holder. The part # @ autozone is sylvania #2721 or (W1, W2). OR you can get the bulb and holder from the LR dealer for like $10. Rog |
