HI all, Im thinking about removing my rear seats to increase cargo capacity for an upcomming trip. Has anyone done this and then replaced them? How easy was it to re-install them; did you need new hardware? -Ryan |

it's a no brainer. Can't recall teh size socket but the whole thing is a few straight bolts. Mine were pretty tough at first beccause they were rusted in place and I needed to take it real easy with some penitrating lube. But my back seats have been in teh garage for about a year and I don't miss them at all.

I agree with Jerry, real easy. I have removed one of them on the trail so I could sleep in the truck because I was too lazy to set up the tent. Chris

Ryan, I asked about that a little while back. I decided that was too much for me to take on at the time - but, here is link to when I asked. http://www.discoweb.org/cgi-bin/discus/board-auth.cgi There was a response in that contained another link with excellent information if I remember correctly. Good Luck! Jamie |

I just checked to see if I did that link correctly and it looks like I did not. To get to the thread manually: Go into Archives Discovery Tech Archive through August 1st about 3/4 of the way down: DiscoWeb Bulletin Board: Advantages to removing rear seats in D2? |
