Hello,

I saw this 2003 Discovery back door. Where can I get that speaker box?

My 1997 Disco has the same type box. Hit a LR junk yard.

Isn't that the factory subwoofer?

My 97 D1 has the same factory subwoofer box,
Pioneer system. There are two speakers and an amplifier in the box.

The stowage box on the door is not very stronge. I pulled it with the intension of closing the door. The stowage box let go before the door closed.

If anyone is interested, a friend of mine had a box built for the back door out of fiberglass- a bit deeper than the factory sub box. It is nice looking and extremely functional. He had the box designed to accomodate speakers with bigger magnets and decided to "lose" the factory amp as well. I'll get some pictures from him and post.

"I am" means Pedro is interested in Chris' post.

Pedro, I have the stock sub box that you circled in your pic. The cubby storage part is long gone, and so are the subwoofers & amp within my box. But the box is still there. I'm planning on removing the entire cargo door interior panel and replacing it with something custom. If/when I do it, you're welcome to my empty sub box.

I am also interested in Chris' friend's custom box for the back door. Post a pic, if you would. Thanks.

It's the box with cover as it appears in your photo, but mine is beige, and from a 1996 Dicovery. The black mesh cover is a little dented in spots, but overall it's fine. What year is the disco you need this for? I have no idea if different years have different size subwoofer boxes...

Hi all
The one thing that has remained constant through all disco`s is the back door.
89 will fit 03.
