Is there something against switching aux. lights directly with a switch instead of trough a relais? Two 55W bulbs = 110W ==> about 10Amps at 12V. Why bothering with a 30Amp relais if I have a 15Amp swith to power the relais? Just asking. It looks like there is a rule that says 'lights are switched with a relais'. Don't see the logic of that. You don't need relays if you use high power switches. The reason for relays is if car manufactuers used high power switches for everything then you would have to run heavier gage wire troughout the car (like into the doors ect.) with relays you put them all up front and run smaller gauge wire and low power switches. That being said you need relays if you are going to use any factory suppied switch in the car |

That switch is going to get pretty hot with all that current running through it....... Do yourself a favor and use relays. And don't forget to install a fuse in each circuit. - Axel
