I know its been asked before, I searched the archives but didnt find it. Is there a replacement part for the stepper motor that I can pick up at the local pep boys that doesnt just LOOK like the Disco stepper, but actually WORK like the disco's stepper? By the way, its a 95 3.9. Thanks for any help.

Dis you try taking it apart and cleaning it? I did this, and it fixed the problem . Two years, now, and still running strong.

The model years appear to be backwards. Anyone?

Would a new stepper motor perform better than an old one that has been cleaned up? I ask because for the small amount of money would'nt it be prudent to just replace it on a high mileage 3.9? My 3.9 has 156k and I am considering such.
