I am looking for a shop near Hoboken to get some work done on a 1999 disco I. Right now it needs shocks.

Someone mentioned a shop on 17 in paramus but I checked the archives and nothing came up.

Any STS, Pep Boys or mom and pop garage would be able to handle replacing shocks. It's DIY with basic hand tools and a little time. You can swap out the rears in 15 minutes with only a 19mm wrench and large vice-grips to hold the bottom shock body. Fronts are only slightly more involved since you have to remove the upper shock tower. Shouldn't take longer than 1.5 hours for all 4 for even a novice. Only problem you may run into is if the front shock top stud nut is rusted, but you could always just grind or saw that off the tower.
