What does it mean when one exhaust manifold is much whiter in color than the other, besides the fact that one is getting hotter? (driver's side on a 98 Disco) Been told to watch for stopped up cat on the effected side. Make sense?
Thanks,
-D

Do you hear any rattling when car is idle? That's how my cats sounded when the matrix stuff got loose after a while.

What's the mileage also... head issues?? Valves??

Alex,
I tapped on the cats they sound the same on both sides. No rattling at idle.

My truck looks the same way. My cats seem fine, but how can you tell. Will the check engine light come on after a while. Seems like the O2 sensor would notice a problem.
