My rearview mirror is about to fall off due to the adhesive (connecting the mirror to the front windshield) losing its stickiness. Is this due to the heat? Will any adhesive work? Any suggestions? Patrick D95 |

I have used super-glue pefore... Just make sure you clean the glass surface and the old adhesive off the mirror post... Use some rubbing alchol on the glass and goo-gone or whatever on the mirror post... It should work fine... If it doesn't you can always rought the glass area up with some sand paper too... Or the dealer does have little adhesive patches you can buy or maybe they'll hook you up... Hope that helps... Ben 00 DII |

Do not use super glue!!! It'll crack your windshield since the thermal expansion between super glue and glass is quite different (unless you live in a very temperate region...). I learnt that the hard way and am not the only one. The best solution is a cleaning as recommended in the previous post and the $9 dealer patch. Lionel (95D1) |

go to any large windsheild replacement place and I'll bet they'll do it for free. The right adhesive you'll need is from 3m and is a cleaner & adhesive.. any good tools truck should have it in stock (matco, snap on etc...) |

Go to Auto Zone or your local equivalent and buy a pack of the rearview mirror adhesive. It's a 2 part adhesive (similar to an epoxy) and costs about 3 bucks. |
