I have found a 95 discovery I think I can get a good deal on, but it has a ticking noise in the motor after warm up. When the motor gets to operating temp a ticking sound comes from the passenger side of the motor. Does this sound like carbon? It has the 3.9 motor with 80,000 miles on it. I don't think the noise is coming from the manifold or collector gasket. If it is Carbon will SeaFoam cure it or will the heads have to be rebuilt? Also where do you get seafoam? I would like to get some for my other rovers. (If it really prevents build up) |
