This was in a post about a year ago but several people have asked me about it recently, so I'll repost the info. You can replace the fuel pump with a like pump of the shelf from Advanced Auto. It is just the pump & not the whole assembly. The replacement pump is spec'd exactly like original (flow rate, voltage, etc...) the only difference is the polarity is opposite If mounted upright the replacement pump will put gas back into tank instead of pumping it to the fuel rail. Its an easy fix, just cut and reverse wires to pump (cut & solder prior to install.) Fuel pump part no. E2002 (master auto parts is manu $59.99) Fuel filter replacement #fs111 ($6.24) can be purchased online @ www.advancedauto.com I replaced my pump 14 months ago with zero issues since then and have done 12k miles & lots of offroading as well. |
