Well, almost done. The remote box is held on with a nylon strap, and I've got a little clean-up with a file on the plastic bumper trimming. Fun project, and the Warn 9000 wires were all the perfect length. Main gotcha's: Rotate the engage / freewheel lever 2 holes counter-clockwise so you can reach the lever. Plastic and metal trimming. Didn't want to take off more than needed - could do a much better job the second time around. Never uploaded a pic before, so don't know how this will look...

looks good...;) congrats! i have a friend that wants to do the same thing, but he also will have a brush guard (lrna). you see any issues with your install that a brush guard might have caused? thanks, mike |

Not sure if the factory brush guard will be a problem or not. Next time I see one I'll check it out. John F Las Vegas, NV |

If I trade up to a 2004, I might look into that. The two things I don't like about the set up though is how low the winch is placed and difficulty in respooling the cable neatly on the drum. Other than that, I really like it. |

One small improvement could be made. Paint the winch mount black so it would blend in with the bumper.

I am debating right now whether to get the discreet winch mount or put a class III reciever on the front for a removable winch. How is it working out for you? Yes it will work with the brush guard. Check out this page: http://www.texasrovers.com/discreet_winch.htm Jamil |

<<paint>> My wife said the same thing. I guess I'll pull the bumper one more time (I'm really good at that now) and spray it a satin black. The zink plating does match the QT diff guards, though, but it will look better black, eh? John F |

I already have the Bearmach mount....and I've painted it black! (never fitted it) but then I decided I might go for the TJM bumper so I have one of those on order at the moment. I would be very interested to see some more close up shots of your installation, including things like where you positioned winch relay, solenoid and little red light switch etc. I also have the XD9000, again waiting to be installed.....takes me ages to decide on the best method! Pictures and cutting detail would be much appreciated. Cheers Jeremy Parkhouse Dhahran, Saudi Arabia |
