Hey All,
Here's a link to a cool LR photo

http://www.armyranger.com/mod.php?mod=userpage&page_id=71

This is the unit I used to be in (2nd Batt/75th Ranger Regt) using a Land Rover the way God intended.

It was about 10 yrs. ago when they first brought in the Rovers to replace our old Jeeps. We rejected the ever popular HUMVEE, because it was too wide to put into aircraft with motorcycles on the side. Then as now the HUMVEE is just too big. Hope you like the pic.

It's the Rat Patrol.

Remember that show?

Now I'm showing my age.

Rat Patrol was great ! - with all the crappy TV they've brought back on-air lately - I can't believe that hasn't come back :-(

Nice pic, Jason. That Rover has "badass" written all over it, and riding all over it too.

Rat patrol kicked ass!

It used to come on really late, like after Johnny Carson, but it was worth it.

I loved The Rat Patrol. It was what first got me interested in wheeling. Yeah it was what I wanted to do when I grew up.

I've got to check the surplus auction and get a hold of one of those Land Rovers

You tell these babies, Daniel. :-) I remember "Rat Patrol" in prime time, too. Back then TV was ALL about shows like "Combat", "Rat Patrol" and other military and wild west themed shows. That, and the original "Twilight Zone", which SERIOUSLY rocked.

Jason, I'd never have known there was a Rover under all that "heavy modification".

Thats a copy othe the 109 wolf defender; usually it mounted with either a .50 up top a option of a SAW or some other sqaud auto weapon. But you guys are right its going back to the old idea of the fast attack vehicle
