I was wondering what to do with my old EAS compressor now that I have the coil conversion. I would like to modify it some how for tire inflation and maybe fitting for air tools. Has anyone done something like this or have any ideas? Thanks, RK |

I've been told that it can do up 150 psi so you could pump tires with it but it is not designed for high volume so one of the off the shelf deals might be easier. They go in ebay for a decent price usually.

Here's one air tool your EAS compressor might run: http://www.penntoolco.com/catalog/products/3615.cfm

idea: Consider removing all the old EAS parts and sell them to someone. Then buy a Power Tank. |

ok...I guess my main goal would be to have the eas compressor inflate my tires and thats it. Can it do it? What do I need to make it happen. Thanks, RK |

In December 2002, I converted my 1995 Range Rover Classic SWB to coil springs. Next, I converted the EAS pump and tank to an onboard air supply. Attached are the instructions I got from RPM Off-Road Motorsports, about a year ago. I haven't seen anything recently from them, and don't know if the company is still in business. I ultimately copper piped from the tank, into the engine compartment, to a ball valve. Then from the ball valve, I ran hose to both sides of the engine compartment with air couplers. Originally I ran hose from the tank to the engine compartment. With pressure in the hose, and the heat nearest the exhaust manifold, I had a ruptured hose 2 times. I have had no problems since I installed the copper pipe and ball valve. I usually turn on the pump about 5 minutes to build up pressure, before I need to air up my tires. I can air up 4 tires in about 6 minutes. Hope this helps, Jim |

Sorry guys. My attachment for the EAS Air Supply Conversion was too big. E-mail me if you want me to send it to you. Jim |
