The ABS on my '96 Disco is acting up. It activates when I hit the brakes even when the wheels don't lock up. In any case, I have disabled the system, but I want the warning light off. What is the easiest way to go about this? I have done a search and can't find anything on disabling, or diagnosing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Check the ABS sensors on the hubs. Pull them out, clean them off and push them back in as far as they will go. If they get pulled or jarred out to far that will cause your problem. Mike G. 96 Disco SD |

I will gladly do this, but I don't know where the sensors are, or how to pull them out. Any links with instructions? Thanks. |

by disabling, do you mean that you have pulled the anti-lock fuse and now you want the light out? if so, pull the bulb. if not, please clarify. marc |

My solution is to adjust the steering wheel down enough to block the light. Out of sight, Out of mind. Right? |
