Ok - I know this is a pointless post, but I just have to say that I'm very happy to have stumbled across this web site. I used to work on my own vehicles, but gave it up when I got the "luxury" 99 d2. Now I'm at 80k miles... But you folks on this site inspired me and now I'm running wild. I fixed my bad solenoid in my transfer case - I've removed the air dam and stock foglights and front bumper in preparation for an aftermarket bumper - I've added 265/75 BFGAT's - I relocated the washer fluid bottle to the firewall behind the radiator overflow tank - and I've flipped my spare tire bracket to fit the bigger spare. My next job is a 2" lift... This is actually lots of fun and makes me feel like I know my vehicle better. And I'm not handing my hard earned cash over to LandRover shops anymore. Of course, my wife is still quite nervous about all of this hacking away at our still expensive and only vehicle! But things are getting better even with the spouse. Kenny |
