I am in the process of replacing the headgaskets on a 2000 DII, I was thinking about using dielectric grease on all of the electrical connections. Are there any connectioins that I would NOT want to use this grease on? Some connections would be very hard to get to after everything is back together, I would hate to screw anything up.

Thanks,

eric,
be careful with how much you put on. to much will act as an insulator. using very sparce amounts is all you will need.
i've seen high voltage transistors explode because a coworker applied to much D.E.G. to the heat sink portion if the transistor. when the transistor got hot, the D.E.G. acted as an insulator and overtemped the unit. let's just say it lets the smoke out of everything.
same goes for ignition modules on vehicles, connector points, etc...
hope that helps,
marc
