As many of you may have heard/read.....the West Covina Hummer dealership was suddenly and deliberately attacked by radical environmentalist just yesterday...August 22nd, a day that will forever live in infamy. Okay.....that may be a bit alarmist....but:

We are organizing a swift and quick response to this terroristic act of anti-SUV action carried out by the Environmental Liberation Front (ELF). We intend to gather/rally at West Covina tomorrow at around 10am....so show support for our community, the Hummer dealership and to send a message that whether it's the Al-Queda or ELF...terrorism will not deter our way of life or succeed in accomplishing anything.

Anyone in the Los Angeles area...we need numbers!

WEST COVINA SUPPORT RALLY

THE EVENT IS A "GO"....just got off the phone with the dealership:

THE OWNER OF THE DEALERSHIPS WORDS: "GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR GROUP. IT WOULD BE AN HONOR TO HAVE YOU......PLEASE COME, BRING YOUR HUMMERS, I WILL MAKE ROOM FOR YOU ON MY LOT. THIS IS GREAT, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!!!!!"

This event is ON. West Covina Hummer dealership. tomorrow 10am 1900 East Garvey Ave, South West Covina, CALIF 91791

We have confirmation that CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, KCAL9 and several other medias will be covering this event.

What to bring: do not wear army fatigues or anything militant. Look American Pie, bring your flags, bring your smiles. Forget the candles, flowers & mock-vigil-thing......bring any sings you want to make, but nothing stupid.

GOOD SIGNS:

STOP THE E.L.F. VIOLENCE"
"E.L.F. COMMITS ARSON"
"THE E.L.F. ARE TERRORISTS"
"TERRORISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"

BAD SIGNS:

"We declare jihad on ELF", Screw them, etc.

We must look good: the eyes of our NATION are watching us!!!!!!! We are representing more then just our own group....we are Americans rallying our support for community, dealership and the American way of life. This may be your last chance to fulfill that crazy 60's hippie protest movement thingy you've always dreamed about....but we're the good guys now!!!!

Uh...no tie-dy shirts please.

More details as they come in. Tell a friend, we need numbers, Hummers and YOU!!!!

- Steve

Are these the same folks that burn down people's houses and ski lodges in Colorado? Sounds like someone needs to give them a "Chemical Polution from Burning 101" class.

Steve, good luck with your crusade. I am a bit curious why the FBI or some other type of government agency is not putting a stop to these homeland terrorists.

We have several members of our group that are law enforcement and licensed to carry weapons. On account of only my club and the media knowing about this "rally"....I seriously doubt we'll meet with any counter-protesters...

...but IF we do: I pity the fools!!!!!!!

I'll try to make a video out of this!

Steve,

Thanks! You are giving an excellent example of what we should all be doing. There are lots of folks who spend time on this BBS, but do little to contribute to the sport we participate in. Way too many trails are lost each and every day. An opportunity like this can give four-wheelers a much better stance in public opinion.

Curtis

Rush Limbaugh mentioned this today as well. Might be on his website (http://www.rushlimbaugh.com), but I honestly don't know.

I'll second Curtis' sentiments: Way to go!

It's on the home page of Yahoo! right now under "In The News."

Below is the link for the article. There were also pictures to view of the event and the damage but I did not look at them.
