I have a 98 Disco, that needs shocks bad. I just got it so my intention is to start going off road, but a lot of time will be spent on road. What is the best setup to go with. I figured that since I need to change the shocks I might as well look into lifting it a little. Any ideas?? |

Shocks alone will not lift. You need springs to give some lift. Without a doubt for about 1.5" lift the easiest and most widely used lift is Old Man Emu shocks and springs. Pick them up at Expedition Exchange for a matched set. If you need more info, use the search button and look in the tech section. You should consider tires too. Common tires for this amount of lift are 245/75R16 and 235/85R16. |

I would say if you went for the 1.5 inch lift go for the 245/75. It would look better i think. If you got a 2 or 2.5 inch lift i would say go with the 235/85. But that is my thought. The 235 just look too big for the 1.5 incher lift, IMHO. But for the lift go OME from EE. Chris |

I like the way that it looks. The 235 might deserve slightly more lift. 235's
245's

no lift, 245/75 Pirelli AT. Needless to say, I cut some of the necessary, useless places . Looks stock! |
