Just a little concerned....I'm planning on doing my own maintenence and servicing, and I'm wondering if this will void the warranty. I'm planning on doing the 30K service this weekend, but I don't want to lose the remainder of the warranty by doing it. If anyone has any advice or experience with this situation, any input would be greatly appreciated.

It's all up to your dealer, aka the manufacturer's representative, aka the provider of the warranty. If you do your own 30k service, and you do it right, you'll be fine. The manufacturer can't void your warranty just because you change your own oil. If you forget to fill the oilpan back up, however, you may have a problem...

I'd document every step if I was concerned.

Nathan,

Dumb question: didn't the prepaid scheduled maintenance package come with your 02?

Nathan,

Keep receipts for everything, and I mean everything you ever service/replace on your vehicle. For a lot of warranty work you have to show that you did the oil changes at the correct time/distance interval. Really hard unless you keep the receipts for all your oil and filter purchases. Same thing for when you do the coolant flush. If the water pump ever goes and you can’t produce the receipt for the replacement coolant you are SOL. I know.
