This past winter the lights that illuminate the AC/fan controls quit. Not a major problem, but since I also recently mananaged to bounce most of a 12-oz coke into the controls as well, I'd like to take that part of the dash apart and clean it all up and replace the bulbs. Any ideas on how to get in there? Thanks! |

You can buy a replacement bulb and holder from the dealer or get one from DAP-inc.com for about $5 bucks. The entire holder needs to be replaced. On your AC controler the three knobs can be pulled out, be carefull with them they scratch easily. Once the knobs are off you'll see a screw on each side remove that and the entire AC control face comes off. Replace your bulb and put everything back the way you found it!!! |

Thanks Tony! It was as easy as you said. Now my knobs turn feely (first time ever so I expect that wasn't the only time soda got splattered in there) and everything's bright beautiful. Now I can truly see "paradise by the dash board lights" once again. |

Yup, those are the knobs Tony referred to. I used 2 flat-blade screwdrivers under the lip at either end of the raised part of the knob (the bit you grap hold of) and gently pryed them off. BTW, the light bulb under there is an exact match to a Sylvania 2721 ($1.99 for 2 at Pep Boys). |
