I'm looking at new springs, with shocks to follow soon thereafter. I've read a lot about OME and RTE springs, but no one seems to use or have input on the factory HD springs. Is there a reason for this? How do they compare to the aftermarket springs?

Thanks in advance,

Andy Maier

They're expensive, don't give added height and not well suited for bumper (ARB) and winch combo. But it will work. And if you want a set I have one in my basement that I picked up before OME came out with the D2 springs. They have less than 10k miles on them. If all you want is to keep the stock ride height and add 150#'s or less of weight up front then the OE HD springs should do the trick.
