I am looking for a rear bumper that will install with the factory tow hitch (NAS), looking for aftermarket (like ARB). What is out there any suggestion open to custom or brand name.
thanks

I have done a lot of looking for the same thing but I dont think it's a very viable option. The reason being all the aftermarket bumpers I have seen help to increase the departure angle. But you have to remove the hitch (exactly what you dont want to do) so you usually have to give or take on this aspect. You can try looking at Rovertym, ARB, you might be able to find a Safari Gard, and look at Scorpion Racing over in the UK, they might have some rear bumpers. Hope it goes well for you!!

ECR is East Coast Rover Co.--Here is the link to the page that Adrian was talking about, http://www.eastcoastrover.com/offroadequip.html. The bumpers are about halfway down the page.

I called ECR a while back regarding the bumper and they stated they will only do an in-house installation of the bumper.

LOL. ECR bumpers require special tools for the install... and how much is the install?

Try Rovertym, they have a pretty good looking bumper that keeps the receiver hitch.

$625 I think.

How difficult would it be to do a custom bumper...really isn't much there. Any guess on steel thickness? I was even thinking some diamond plate aluminum (everyone else has black!)

Hey Rob, why don't you let all the RR Classic owners on D-Web rent out your roof rack for 1-2 months at a time....that way we all get to experience the joys and ownership of a one-of-a-kind Rover Solutions Roof Rack...... The rental fee will help cover the cost of putting the Rack into production...that way we can all stop sending e-mails to Rover Solutions requesting a chance of owning such a great roof rack.....

:-)

Mark,

The RRC rear bumper comes in various designs. One of the simplest design is basically a square tubing that looks like a wide U shape. You'll have to cut the rear quarter panels off below the moulding. This may not appeal to you! But, this design is very simple, strong and looks clean. The rear quarter panel is totally out of harms way and your stock hitch receiver is still retained. Your local fabricator can easily handle this. Basic material: 2"x3"x3/16" (or 1/4" for extra heavy duty thickness) rectangular tubing and 1/4" flat metal for brackets. If you want a more snug to the body design, have the fab guy cut off some of the chassis "horns" that protrude from the rear.
