all this talk about breaks has me wondering if i can rebuild calipers myself. i see the kits xks northeastbritishparts which are pretty in expensive. has anyone here rebuilt calipers? how do you get the piston out? is there anything that i can screew up, or is this an easy, cheap rebuild? thanks, rob |

Rob- They are pretty easy to rebuild. I've done it several times but ended up with leaks after about 20K each time so now have new calipers. The info you have on the 110 above is not accurate for 89 RRC though similiar. Dust cover seal is much smaller and seal kit comes with new retaining ring. Pistons are longer in RRC calipers too. I always replace pistons even if old ones look good (they only cost about $8 apiece-4 needed per front caliper) Seal kit part number is AEU1547, Lockheed #LK12616 (1 kit per caliper) Piston is part number 606683 (?) and Lockheed #3275-424P Good luck- |

Not hard - just finicky. It's a pain getting dust cover seal in square without squashing it all up. Bill |
