My girlfriend gave me an XM radio for my birthday, it's nicer than a brickshithouse. I have been listening for days.

I have had XM for about 6 months - XM sucks. The only time it doesn't is when I am in the backcountry. At that point in time I should either be listening to CD or nothing:-)

The bottom line is that the programming is really bad.

When I was shopping for satellite radio, someone told me that Ford had chosen Sirius for their 2004 models - anyone heard if this is true and if Rover will be Sirius-ready?

Curtis, please expand on your "programming is really bad" statement. I couldn't imagine going back to FM. I've got 100+ channels of variety, no static, few to no commercials and I'm not stuck listening to pop music crap, morning drive time shows or overplayed "classic" rock. Just curious.

I too have XM and love it, the Comedy channel is almost worth the subscription fee. There are alot of channels I don't listen to, but 10 or so get frequent play.

I have it too. I haven't listened to radio for years. Mount it right behind the gear shifter...

I had XM right when it came out. Listened to it for 7 months and found that I only listened to 3 or 4 stations. I'll admit it's better than FM and good if you are into talk radio, but for me (at the moment) I wish I would have spent the money on an MP3 music keg and dumped my ripped song's from the 'net. If I want news, I can get three channels of NPR as well as AM. In the end it wasn't worth the $10 a month and the minimal up front costs.

On the topic of XM. Where would one put the antenna thingy on a D90 Soft Top? It is magnetic, and I don't think it would work too well on the tailgate.

You could use double sided tape to stick it on the front but I went with the larger antenna and mounted it in the rear.

Yup.. sorry the pic was so dark. I had posted a better one before but could not find the thread.

If you are going to go that route, i recommend mounting it on the right side of the spare. Its very easy to grab the thing and use it as a handle to close the door and its not strong enought to keep doing that too. However, even though you have that in your head, thats a perfect spot for you to grab for when closing the door and i almost ripped ours off a few times
