I was installing a rear ladder to my Discovery, and after I finished everything, I went to open my door and now the door wont open. From the inside or outside. The door latch feels like its not connected to anything now. Did I drill though something? |

I understand it is possible to drill through the lock assembly. take out the bottom bolts and see if it changes. or remove the door panel. carefull not to break the damn red push in clips(been there)and have a look see. hopefully you just popped off the linkage. |

Try putting your key in and turning it towards the left and then pull the lever.

I would take a look at the inside mechanism before doing anything else. When I installed my ladder, a screw hit one of the brass locks of the shaft controling the movement of the door handle. You'll understand what I'm describing when you open up the panel. |

i was definately salty at the time. I figured it out this morning after taking the inside of the door panel off. Did a little modification to some of the door "linkage" and now its working better than ever. Thanks for the help. Chris |
