If you have the OME Rover/Pioneer cassette/radio you will find two small holes on each side of the plastic face-plate of the radio. Place a 2mm or 2.5mm allen(hex)wrench into the openings and unscrew the treaded hex nut counter-clockwise until it stops. Do not try to remove the nuts. They will stay in place. This will release the two metal tab "locks" on each side of the radio. You should be able to pull the entire radio chassis out of the dash. You will have to disconnect the three wiring harnesses, the RCA/DIN cable and the antenna cable. Just reverse the process if you want the radio back in. Gregg

thanks for the help. It worked perfectly, now any ideas on the wiring scheme for the speakers etc. With a meter I've found battery/acc/ground(s). Trial and error will work for the speakers, just looking for a shortcut if possible. thanks, Matt

An old radio installers trick:

Wire up a standard flashlight battery to some leads. When you apply the small voltage to the correct speaker wires, you will hear a small "click", no chance of doing any speaker damage.
