I know I am asking questions that I have asked before, but I'd just like to ask one more time in the event that someone has come up with any solutions since I asked. I sent my D2 off to the dealership requesting that they figure out a way to install a 2nd battery and also TRY to come up with a VIABLE and SECURE solution for a front recovery point on my D2 with TJM15 winch bumper. My tech foreman has an excellent grasp of the terrain that I want to cross, so he just may be able to come up with something. Has anyone out there come up with something that will work?? Regarding 2nd battery: my engine area is stock, with the exception of yellow top installed in the same place stock battery was and ARB safari snorkle that dealership will install over the weekend. My techs have never seen a dual yellow top set-up on a D2. If anyone knows how to easily drop in a 2nd battery without having to rearrange the engine compartment, please let me know. I will pass any info on to my techs. Thanks, Jamie |

Jamie: For the batteries try http://www.aedofab.com/ -- go to Rover products and dual battery tray. Voila -- two batteries in the stock location. I do think that the fuse box needs to be moved. Not too sure for TMJ. If you have the time, I'd ask at EE since they seem very knowledgeable about them. Could try the JATE ring, if it fits abound the TMJ mounting point -- http://www.landroverstuff.com/products.htm Good luck. |
