What a way to start off a crappy labor day...Anyway Im getting up this morning to go to work (yes I have to work today because my broke company cant hire anyone to watch the network so the system admins are getting stuck with it) and the truck started and would'nt come out of park..so i figured it was the brake solinoid..no big deal ill over night one from atlantic british or something...anyway I notice the brake lights arent working and im assuming thats part of the switch malfunctioning as well but when i go back in the house i hit the button on my remote and the truck locks but no blinky lights? So this interest me enough to take a further look at the light situation and guess what..my blinkers dont work either. So i hit the hazard switch and my pass side lights blink fine but the driver side lights are very dim and the rear doesnt work at all..So i have a rover that wont come out of park and im not real sure the brake solinoid is the problem. suggestions?

It is the brake switch. Located under the steering wheel. Only a $35 part new. Pump the brakes hard while trying to shift out of park and this may get you into gear.

Gabe: This was just covered 2 weeks ago....
Open your rear door.
Look at the two electrical connections closest to the hinge.
Reverse them.
Get into truck, start it up
Turn on your Heated rear window
Move out of park.
Your HRW switch now controls the Transmission park lock out
If this don't work, your doomed to wait for UPS
