I thought y'all might enjoy this. This is a brand spankin' new GM H2 in all its "glory" that went for a little joy ride at La Sierra University in Riverside, CA (my gf works for PR there and took the pics, good job DJ!).

Heres what happened: This chick took her mom and kids out for a ride at 3AM and saw construction and dirt and so forth around the campus. She thought to herself "hey, this is an H2, i saw it in a commercial and it could do anything. Its an all terrain vehicle, right?"

She then procedes to dive around campus for a while and then broke through the cable barrier (took 2 tries) that prevents idiots from running into the schools brand new samaritan statue. she then hit a 1' dirt curb at about 40mph, and then right into the statues cement base. Needless to say, the curb and cement were victorious.

When asked why she did it, she repiled "I wanted to jump the statue, i saw it on tv"

She wasnt drunk or under any kind of influence and yes, the kids were inside when it happened. This is all very true. here are the pics:

Inconceivable. I have never seen the hummer ad where they jump and H2 over a statue. What an idiot.

She is very fortunate to be alive and to not have hurt anyone else in the process.

Ok, so your wife takes your brand new Hummer out for a joy ride with the kiddies (too late, she has already propogated, now there are more potential stupid people walking the earth)and destroys it. Keep in mind, insurance does not cover stupidity. You are now stuck with a $50,000+ piece of junk, your kids are the laughing stock of their schools (Jr. is gonna get the snot kicked out of him daily for a month)and you have to drive a Ford POS rental for a month while the dealer fixes your ride and sends you further into debt. Question: At what point in the future does the little woman finally forgive YOU for calling her stupid?

Bryan that's sort of funny. My gf managed to back into my old white Suburban on our drive (I guess a white Suburban is hard to see!). Guess what it was all my fault! Yep, had I not driven my motorcycle to work that day it would not have been in the way and she would not have hit it. Insurance is a good thing.

Here's a better example of stupidity. I read the local Denver paper this morning. There was a story about a 20 year old who decides he wants to see what it's like to jump out of the back of a car at 40 MPH. Guess what? He won himself a Darwin Award on Sunday (the last day of his life)!

truly outstanding...

Come to think of it... The H2 - vehicle and commercials - appeals to this very group of population (no offense to Steve and others).

LOL, a local girl had her father 03' disco for the day. Two of her friends convinced her to test the "best 4x4xfar" capability on a trail (read, trespassing). She entered a 3 foot ditch head on going fast. The front bumper ate it and on the departure she bent the exhaust which caused the engine to cut off and would not come back on.

She called everyone saying that they were resonsible for this. She called the dealership wanting them to come get her!! Finally some guy in a jacked up jeep came and helped her get the truck to the dealership. That joyride cost about 6000 bucks.

My all time favorite was when my sis ran out of gas. She said, "I was low on gas so I drove faster!"

Geez.

Wasn't there one girl who put water in her gas tank also.

I have heard many stories from the guy who tows the rover about people who go in 4 foot or deeper water and don't get why they have all that damage. People are idiots.

I'm speechless. I can see why some people get annoyed at all these mini-van and car owners running out and buying a 4WD because it's the chic thing to do. That annoys me too actually. It's even worse in the winter time when these bozos drive like they're driving on dry pavement.

I do hope there are significant legal consequences for the driver. Trespassing? Reckless driving? Child endangerment? Vandalism?

Bryan

Insurance does cover stupidity unfortunately. There was a case a while back where a guy was having a barbeque and it started to rain. He moved the charcoal grill into his garage where it proceeded to burn his home down. The insurance company paid because he did not intend to defraud them. It is why rates are so high.

It's really not her fault: stupidity afflicts 1 in every 4 Americans!!!

I suppose that's also why...when a guy does something really stupid...we say he's "getting in touch with his feminine side"

On the other hand....perhaps the dingy-bitch WOULD have made the jump and cleared the statue had she put the thing into 4-low, engagned the rear-locker, activated the height-control, moved the traction control to TC2, adjusted the rear windshield wiper to a faster speed, turned-on her flashers, set the transmission to tow-haul mode and opened the sun-roof?????

Makes ya want to ask her what she was thinking....but thinking evidently isn't part of her daily routine!

Because....DAMN!!!!!! that was one bitch for thinking she can with her H2!

!!!!!

WHOA GUYS....easy on the 'dumb bitch' comments. Stupidity affects PLENTY of men as well.

I'm not condoning what she did, I admit it is ABSOLUTELY, RIDICULOUSLY STUPID and I wish people like that weren't allowed in the world (much less procreating and 'spreading the love')....but don't turn it into a gender thing. OK?

Not a gender thing at all (from my stand point anyway). I've seen guys do things that were just as questionable (usually these feats of stupidity start with the phrase "Watch this!"), but none the less, this woman is not running on all thrusters.

Sorry Susannah,

I'm just playing around, sorta an inside thing with some of the regulars here. While it looks as if I'm using excessive profanity, the red dots happen when you try to shorten the word "transmission" to an abbreviated form.

As for Bryan's thought of this women not running on all thrusters....oh....I'd say she was thrusted into the headboard a few times to many!

Guys do stupid things too. We had one guy who got really stuck. We threw him a tow-strap and he started to attach it to the plastic fake hood-handles on his hood. You know...the ones rated to about 20 pounds. The real stupidity wasn't that he was dumb enough to do it...it was when someone decided to tell him just before I could get it on video!!!!

A friend of mine worked at an oil change shop for a while. A woman came back after her first oil change on a new car. She complained that it ran real bad after she had the oil changed in it. The shop owner asked her if she had done anything to the car herself. The lady replied yes, I had to add oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and antifreeze. This surprised the owner. He then asked the lady where she added all of the various fluids. She said DUH! I took off the gas cap and poured them all in, the car knows how to separate them all.

If you have not done something before but have seen it done don't assume you know what you are doing!
