We had a fair amount of rain last night in new york city. When I get in to the vehicle this morning, I found out driver side visor areas are quite damp and actully water is dripping little bit from sunloop controller! I have replaced front sun-roof (it did not close properly) about 4 years ago and never experienced any kind of water leaking before. I guessed drain tube of front sun-roof is clogged or seal of the winshield and brought to the vehicle to the Land Rover Manhattan. They told me they have to replace front sun-roof assembly and asked for $1,500!!! How can I check drain tube whether it is clogged or any other opinion on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Best wishes, Jin |

Dealer mechanic told me it is the seal on top of the sun-roof and I have to replace entire assembly since they do not sell only the seal. Do you think putting black silicon will solve the problem? I hate to spend $1,500 on this since my sun-roof is working just fine mechanically and the pealed part on the roof is only small portion and it probably not visible considering height of the vehicle even though I apply some silicon. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. |

You may also want to check the screws that hold the glass in place. Mine got loose and I had the same issue. I checked it out and found that all four of the screws were loose and 2 of the back sun roofs screws were loose. You never know, could be worth looking at. I forget whas size of Torx screw they are though. |

I did the same thing. I also tightened the scews inside the dome light. If the dome light screws come loose this will also cause a leak. |
