I have tried the socket method and have heated it up a good bit but not sure how long I should heat it. The peg looks like it is rusted in there and I have tried everything except a slide hammer and the Lr tool. I am not sure the slide hammer would work on this beast. So those of you had to heat yours to pull it out, how long would you say you heated it? Thanks! Ken

I used a slide hammer that had an adapter that screwed onto the end. The adapter had a hole in it that you could slide bolts into. I slid in a bolt that fit the centering peg. 2 nice whacks and it was off. |

I think it is worth the trouble of going out and getting something like a slide hammer, I sure wish I had. I did the socket method and ended up breaking(among outher things) a bolt in the hole... |
