It is much easier and cheaper to remove the center section of the airdam and trim the end caps. It is commonly done with positive results. Do a search for details. The brush guard will fit that as it mounts below on the frame. You cannot add the winch basket to the brush guard. You must order the specific brush guard with the integrarted winch basket which I believe is quite rare and expensive. There are much better routes to take for the front end...(ARB, TJM, Rovertym, etc.) Hope that helps.

honeslty though, since my bumper was destroyed in an accident, i'm looking for a new one and i dont really like how any of the ARB, TJM or Rovertym bumpers look. just my personal preference.

Hey Damien.

Get liking the look. The factory front bumper and the brush guard will damage your front end as soon as you bump something. I can't tell you how much you need a quality bumper in the front especially if you plan on doing any off-roading. Even if you don't off-road, if you should get in just a little fender bender that brush guard will jam up into your bumper and fenders.

I'm speaking from experience. Get a real bumper.

I just went through all this myself. I ended up going with a saudi bumper, with additional trimming around the airdam, plus removal of the crossmember below the dam. (my stock bumper was not salvageable)

I'm having a front receiver fabricated that I can bolt to the frame, in place of the tube that used to run around the airdam. (It will not hang down as low) I have a Warn HS9500i on a cradle that will allow me to winch from the front or rear receiver, and make offroading alone less "interesting." This also means I don't have to upgrade front suspension, as in the case of a permanent bullbar and winch, because there is no additional weight on the front except for when the winch is attached.

I'm not that hard-core offraod, and also want to keep a semi-tame appearance for my daily driver, so this setup works for me. Someday I'm sure I'll go nuts with the Disco mods, but not while it's my ride to work.

Pick the setup that works best for you. Not everyone here has the same transportation requirements, offroading desires or personal tastes.

Hey Damien,
I can send you some pics of my new RTE slimline w/A-bar if you're still deciding. I haven't decided what I'm going to do with my old bumper off my XD. The brush bar that came with it I may sell to someone else who's already interested. Let me know.

I went through the same thing recently. I ended up going with the ARB because nothing else was available at the time. I listed the options I found at <http://www.sinasohn.net/lrover/bumpers.html>. I haven't had a chance to add Aedofab to the list -- they're at <http://www.aedofab.com/>. Take a look at your options.

Damien,
The person who was interested in the brush bar before decided he doesn't want it. I have the brush bar and stock front bumper from my XD for sale if you're still interested. You can find all that on the for sale section.
Thanks, Matt
