My 95 will not start. It had been a little slow to turn over a few times and acted like battery was low. Finally, it did not turnover but solenoid clicked, once again like low batt. Now nothing. Lights and normal power ok. Pulled the battery and put on tester, and it was fine. Only 8 months old anyhow. Remote door opener was only getting one light when locking, so have locked door with key which gets 3 blinks. I was hoping that maybe anti-theft needed to be reset. Did not seem to work. Is there anything else I should do before replacing starter? |

I'm a novice when it comes to working on my (95) Discovery, but if my 74 Porsche 914 or my VW Bus exhibited those symptoms and I knew the battery was good I'd be cleaning the battery-to-body ground strap and the body-to-transmission ground strap connections. Anybody know if this makes the same sense on a Discovery? |

Yep sakes mense to me definately check the battery to body ground.. disconnect and clean it up (remove any paint/corrosion etc..)! I'd be checking out the starter and all of its connections next.. |
