It's getting cruddy. Any thoughts on the best way to bring it back? Any good spray/steam things good for this? |

i use turtle wax 2001 acidless foaming mag wheel cleaner (make sure its acidless) ... first i spray the engine down with a water hose ... after its good and soaked i lay the 2001 to it ... give it a few minutes to soak in ... then i rinse ...you might have to knock some of the crud off with a brush or cloth depending on how dirty it is ... after rinsing while the engine is still wet i spray it down with turtle wax 2001 protectant (its like armor all) i spray everything under the hood till its almost all white ... shut the hood ... wash the rest of the disco ... when i raise the hood again .... it looks like new .... the more you do it ... the better it looks .... |

Just a suggestion: Either wrap up the ECU and fusebox beforehand or make sure you've got no driving in mind for 12-18 hours -- that stuff likes to get wet and not work until dry... Andy (engine cleaned once in 2 years -- mud is sealing leaks!) |

I use simple green to clean the engine. Then when everything is dry i put No Touch tire dressing. Your engine will look new. Let your truck sit for 2 hours. |

Simple green on the outside, Rislone on the inside. Works a charm! Cheers! Paul. |
