Hi all My rear washer would never spray fluid, no big deal so I never investigated. THEN my rear wiper stops working and my resavoir sprung a leak. I pulled the res. and a small check valve(?)was leaking. I removed the valve and spliced the tubing together. I now have fluid to the rear so I looked at the valve and it looks like it was put in backwards (arrow pointed to res.) doI need to replace the valve? aand what might be wrong with the wiper? already checked fuse. thganks for any help. Max, Samething is happening to my '96 Disco. No water sprays but the wiper does work. I don't know where the resevoir is located. Is it the same resevoir as for the front? Do I have to take off the rear door panel? I could use a little help. John |

John hi it was odd I pulled the fuse to see if it was ok, and when Iputit back the wiper worked. The resevoir is the same as the front. Two small nuts (10mm)in the wheel well and two on top, pull the resevoir up and look at the back. You will see 3 pumps and tubes. the one that is to the left as you look at it is for the back. You will see a inline valve, I just pulled the tube and it poped off. I put a hard hollow piece of plastic in till I replace it. The valve had an arrow on it that pointed to the resevoir. I think the valve was in backwards. Remove the valve and see if it works. I hope that helps Max |
