I changed the spark plugs, using Bosch platinum I gapped them properly. Now when I turn the key to the on position the hazard lights immediately come on and the car won't start. I've double checked that the plug wires are securely ont he plugs. What could I possibly have done/ |

Need more info...! 1) Does the truck turn over? 2) Did you disconnect the battery? 3) Could the battery have been drained? *Having the hazard lights come on makes me think the alarm may be involved...? |

Could I have set off the alarm system? Is that why the hazards start flashing? Anyone have any ideas. The engine cranks fine it just wont turn start. |

I've had problems with my alarm after disconnecting the battery.. I had to play with the remote and one time I had to lock and unlock the doors with the key (not the remote?) but... in my case The alarm (Horn and lights) would go off when key was in ignition and would not stop even after I removed the key.. Do the flashers go off when the key is just put in the on position? (not turning over)

The falashers have now started going off as soon as I open the drivers door. Do I need to shut the hood to reset the alarm. And oh yeah how do I reset the alarm? |

The alarm should reset after the key is used or the remote pressed.. but that would be if it works properly.. Try, shutting your truck down, closing all doors and windows and hood and then lock the truck up. Wait a few minutes .. The unlock and try to start.. Sorry can't help more...

I fixed it I had accidentally set the inertia switch in the engine compartment. I only realized it after I read through the manual. Thanks, Sam |

That damn thing is more trouble than it's worth...has anyone ever died from a fire that started because their engine kept running after impact?
