My truck just stalled out while I was driving it. The 1st time it happened it stalled and before it came to a stop, it started up again. The 2nd time I couldn't get it started again. No instrument panel lights came on.
Thanks for any help...

Hit the coil with your hand and try and start it. Mine did the same thing when the coil was going bad.

Try calling your nearest foreign auto parts and tell them you need a Bosch coil #: 0221 122 392 C1236. Should cost you around $40-$60. I have to agree with sticking to OEM on this one. Don't ask me why but the LR likes the electricity out of a Bosch rather than something else. On any other vehicles this wouldn't matter a bit!

Coil wasn't the problem and the fuel pump is working and the fuel filter isn't clogged.

What does/doesn't work? Your first post says the instrument panel lights went out. If everything electrical died, check the cables to the battery and alternator. Don't forget to check the ground straps.

More symptoms would be helpful. There's probably someone out there whos had a similar problem.

in my 1st post I said when the truck stalled, the instrument panel lights never came on. now the truck starts sometimes and sometimes it does not. if i turn the key, the instrument panel lights come on. there is spark getting to the distributor cap so i don't think it's the coil?

Is the spark getting all the way to the plugs?

The amplifier module on the distributor is a common problem. There's a relocation kit available to move it to a cooler spot, which tells me its at least worth looking at.
