97 disco. If I try to start the vehicle the alarm goes off. If I remove key red light just flashes. Then when I close the drivers door the horns start to make a pulsating noise, open the door and they stop. Put key in ignition, wont start. WTF is up with this thing. A week a go the centralized locks stopped working now this. Where is the BECM located? does it control central locks. or is this possibly a drivers door actuator, or actuator switch problem

Have you tried locking/unlocking the doors using the key? Try to get it back in synch where the lights flash and dash has red light flashing (alarm armed) when doors are locked and you're not in truck. Mine gets kinda goofy every once in awhile (usually when late for work, etc.) and that seems to fix it.

You're trying to start it with the alarm armed. Thus:
(1) The ignition is cut off (no start)
(2) When you close the door you set off the alarm, closing them re-arms it with you in the truck.

Check also negative battery ground. Hope, cross fingers, knock on wood it's not the alarm ECU b/c that gets spendy...

Good luck!

I Tried the key no go. When I close the door or just depress the door switch the horns begin to pulse. If I take the door panel off and play with the linkage, doesn't seem to help. Comes and goes, light will flash to show alarmed even when not setting. disconnnect battery then reconnect and the same thing happens
