OK, I did a search but came up short. Anybody have a vehicle shipping company they would recommend?

Thanks,

Tom

Dude, just google.

Even companies like atlas, graeble and other movers do it.

I meant a search on this site. I have gone the Google route and found nothing but high cost shippers. Some folks have chimed in with lower cost and very reliable companies in the past. Hopefully, they will chime in now.

Tom, You can check these guys out. This is one of the companies that East coast rover recommends. I have no personal experience with them.

When I had my truck shipped from Savannah to VA, I used one of those companies on ECR's site, I can't remember which, I think it was American. The truck was picked up at 8AM (I think) and delivered the "same" day at 1AM, $600 total cost.

If you've got an extra 10K lying around you can get your rover anywhere in the country you want on a cargo plane - guarranteed delivery within 4 hours - and you and everyone you know can go with it. LOL :-(

I've used Dependable Auto Shippers (http://www.dasautoshippers.com/dasnew/index.html) a couple of times, and they seemed to be pretty good. Full coverage insurance is a must with car shipping, IMHO.

Go to movecars.com I ship cars frequently. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT use McNutt (I had an AWFUL experience with them & would NOT trust them AT ALL). The danger with this type of lower cost shipper is that it could take a VERY long time. They will not guarantee an arrival date, or when the vehicle will be picked up. Sometimes it works very quickly. Sometimes it takes forever. Be patient and you will save a lot of money.

advise i rcvd from a friend that has experience with shipping cars. whatever you do don't prepay as your truck will be put on the load first to come off last, this due to the fact they have their money. do it COD and you will be one of the first to get it so they can collect payment.
