I am planning on installing 2 Hella 4000s and 2 500s on the front bumper of my 2001 Disco 2 w/o any brush bar. I would like to drill straight down into the black plastic directly infront of the grill. Is there any wires/hoses directly underneath the plastic or anything else I should be careful of when drilling? |

I would be amazed if there was the space to install 4000s directly on the bumper, unless of course you plan to make holes in the radiator grill

If you haven't taken off the headlight washer jets, or had a trail take them for you , the lines for those are in the neighborhood. Other than that, take a look under there and see -- my D1 has nothing of any particular import beyond the radiator... |

Christian, Don't take this wrong.....But I would not recommend installing those 4 lights onto the stock plastic LR bumper. The bumper itself is flimsy and will not provide adequate support of those lights. I would hate for you to hit something and inadvertantly cause damage to those lights. You wallet won't like it either. If you want to keep a stock appearance without some huge aftermarket bumper, just go with a LR light bar.
