Just had new waterpump, thermostat and recored radiator put in my '95 D1. Took the family on an 800 mile vacation to Maine, everything worked great but my wife noticed that the footwell would sometimes eminate "baking" level heat...nothing on the driver's side, the temp gauge never went over 1/2 and truck never "overheated". Any ideas for why heat right there and what I should check? Thanks in advance everyone! |

You may have possibly lost a heat shield above one of your cats. |

You could also have the passenger side Cat going bad. I remember seeing a bad Cat at night, it glowed like it was on fire. |

I have the same problem on my 96. The passenger floor gets very warm. No other heat related problems though. |

Chances are the Cat on the passenger side is going bad,, it's located directly under the passenger floor. |

The floor in the back seat of my 95 gets very hot...right underneath the center console area. Especially after a lot of stop and go. Is that due to heat shields?! |
