I have talked to many owners of the discovery 1 and they all tell me the same thing "now remember I talking Headcover gaskets etc,you know the ones that are one level below valve cover etc... If you all in Discoland look just below alternator bracket just below vally gasket on both sides you probably will see a small leak, nothing that really amounts to very much..but none the less there it is I am running a little survey and just thought I would take a consensus on this matter.PS I have also heard that Landrover has tried to keep this problem a big secret, because it would cost them 10 to twelve hrs to change gaskets..Ever wonder why they have changed gasket design because like valve cover gaskets they leak but it cost a hell of alot less to just change valvecover with neopreen etc....signed why do all these pre 96 discos leak a little around headcover gaskets...Please tell me whats going on here......... |
