Went to Lowe's and bought a bunch of these little fastners. Painted them, drilled holes where I wanted them, and pushed them in. Bingo...No more sagging. All for less than 10 bucks! My wife even admitted that they look good, and she doesn't usually like ano of my fixes.

Greg, I was in your neck of the woods over Labor Day week. I didn't take the Disco though. We have a house at Sunset but actually stayed in Garden City for the week. I'll have to look you up next time we head down! Ken |

They are in the "Hard to Find" items drawers in the hardware section. I looked in Home Depot, but couldn't find them. They come in black or white. White was easier to paint. Get the short ones. Maybe I should post a pic of one before I put it in. Also...only drill through the headliner backing board- NOT the roof! I used masking tape to keep the HL from twisting while I was drilling. |

Greg- Sure looks better than my staples. Is it a pressure fit? A picture of one would be nice. Tim |

Yes please, picture of the pin before you inserted into the roofline. Many of us are facing the same scenario. Thanks, Bruce |

Advance Auto actually sells "headliner repair screws" for about $3.50 for 6. I tried them and because they are threaded they grip really well. I'm still going to have to paint them as they come in black. Two size heads area available. Look in the HELP section of your discount parts place.

These come in all sizes. 52 cents per package of 2. I used 18 total. I need 2 more, so I'll get a pic before I install them. |

I got a new lining for my headliner a long time ago for around $100 and installed it myself. Not a real tough task, but you cant make any mistakes when you glue it down to the shell. I might be able to dig up the source for the lining if anyone is interested. |
