Well week later - got it all sorted out :-) Thanks to all who made suggestions.

Here is stuff for those newbies who will hit same issues, and will search for answers:

Symptoms:
- idle hunted (goes up and down a wee bit, then might revv a bit and engine would die)
- engine stalls at low rpms from time to time. Good test - slow down to few mph and let it run with no gas applied. Specially noticeable if running on slightly uphill road.
- ticking sound from somewhere around distributor cap

Cure:
- clean up intake of plenum chamber (shiny thing on the top of engine :-)) and all that T housing/flame catcher dudaah, check for cracks. Retighten all clamps. Might want to add extra 3 around that T-section
- clean up distributor cap
- check the vacuum line that goes from throttle assy to whatever that things is up front. Valves around little T section there VERY prone to cracking (i had all 3 cracked)
- check crankcase breather filter. If thing is too dirty to be cleaned up - just pull bloody metal mesh off (it can come out, do not be afraid to apply force), throw it away, got to nearest auto parts store and spend about 2-8$ to get pieces of filter and rebuild it (i used rectangular synthetic pieces, just had to cut them slightly)
- new airfilter (i used K&N)
- swap spark plags for new ones (i used SplitFire once - what a difference they made)

Result:
Now it start from half-turn, runs way better and aint dying/getting all hunted now :-)
