I really like the forward facing D2 jump seats. Does anyone knows whether it is possible to fit the D2 jump seats into D1? Thanks. |

James, I have both a D1 and D2 with 7 passenger seating. I don't think it is easily doable. The D2 seats are much larger and would not fold away properly in a D1. The D2 seats lock into some hefty bars recessed into the floor. The D1 floor is not built strong enough to do this. Lastly, there is the whole issue of room. The rear area of the D2 is 7" longer than the D1 (hence the worse departure angle)and if you could somehow fab mounts for the D2 seats into a D1, you would have no legroom in front of you. Also, you can't just "bolt" a pair of D2 seats into the back of D2 (like you can with D1 seats into a D1). You need a different floor setup and who knows what else. Really, if you want the improved comfort and safety of the D2 "jumpseats" you need to go out and get a good used D2 (like we did). Good Luck, Rich |

Rich, Thanks for the input and the share of knowledge. D2 will definitely be on my shopping list soon. Cheers, James |
