Not sure if this was covered last week, as it happened a few days ago, but:
http://us.cnn.com/2003/US/Southwest/09/06/suv.vandalism.ap/

Essentially it would appear that its not just H2s our good friends the domestic terrorists find disfavor with.

Ray,

I watched some coverage last week on Fox News about ELF and that the authorities might have actually nabbed one of the terrorists. Fox went to some commune type house and interviewed some friends of the accused. Everyone of them was some fat, multiple facial peirced, high on drugs kid. It pissed me off just watching it.

Anyway, a cool thing about the coverage was that Fox was ragging on them about all the chemicals they release into the atmosphere from the burning rubber and paint.:-)

You ready for Isabel?

Bastards. They need to go pick up some trash, plant a tree, or do some trail maintenance if they want to do any good. I was in Sierra Club for a long time, but it was this sort of evil fanaticism (on the part of a few) that pushed me out.

The irony about all this is there really isn't a good scientific base for a lot of their accusations/theories. While I'm a Tread Lightly fan and such, and am the closet environmentalist of the family they just go way to far.

Paul-
Isabel, in the classic sense of understatement, could be bad around here. People are understandably losing it to a certain degree. Around work we're doing the usual contingency planning-like sending the fleet to sea and stuff. I'm looking forward to driving all the Drs and medical residents that live in our apartment complex to the hospital if Norfolk floods-which it does when a sprinkler goes awry so it should be a good opportunity to practice bow waves.

We'll see, I'm going to get beer today!
