pressure treated rob?

have a metal shop make some for you if you want to go cheap. but know what your dimensions will be and how you are attaching them. do it right or buy good ones.

Jason,

Check out Metalexpress.com or onlinemetals.com. I just ordered up 4 pieces of 4" aluminum round stock and it came to less than $25 shipped to FL.

The cuts were accurate and drilling it is pretty easy.

Good luck

i've seen guys use a piece 2"X 2"X 3/16" square tubing cut in 3 1/2" pieces a placed between the perch and the spring plate. worked good just looked strange because you could see through the tubing. cost about $8 for 14" of tubing. doesn't get much cheaper.

when I purchased my '95, the previous owner had a "friend" install 2"x2" square tubing under the springs. As a mechanic said, "Thats one way to do it." Of course the first thing I did was rip out the old springs and tubing and installed the correct OME springs. Just seemed like a poor place to scimp.

How nice of Rob and Garrett to support the Amish and their fine wood products. :-)

Do it right Jason, and purchase CNC'd spacers.

You also need to ensure spring doesnt bind under full compression before the bump stops take up hard.

Least expensive? Mine. I made 'em.

First stop:

Online Metals (www.onlinemetals.com)

The items in this shipment are:

6061-T6 Round Rod
4" ALUM ROUND 6061-T6
2.000000 inches
4 piece(s)
$63.24

Second Stop, my Bridgeport:

Front, Rear

Then, to the bolt drawer, 4x 3/8 x 2" bolts front, and 4x 3/8 x 2.75" Bolts rear, lockwashers, washers and nuts, and some mid-duty loctite.

Third Stop: Kragen to borrow a spring compressor set (free & needed, except you should get yours before you take apart your suspension, unlike me)

....okay then fourth stop, five black AR steelies and five BFG A/T KO's to spend all that money you just saved, ahh she's so pretty now, and I'm not mistaken for a soccer mom anymore! Anyone need four Castors?

neat jonathan, but if the guy is asking for cheap spacers, i'm thinking the odds of him having a bridgeport in his garage are pretty slim.
unless you plan to sell a set to him for $63.24, it's not much help.
